Let's go on an adventure to Old Forge!

Today was pretty....well, boring.

I'm not the kind of person who sits around on a slow day so I grabbed my camera and headed up town where I took a bunch of pictures and even some videos!

You can see some clips on my Vlog which I'll post somewhere on here. Enjoy the pictures below! :D
(I give full permission for my readers to share this blog/vlog on social media websites! If you would like to use any of pictures below please contact me ahead of time at Asideoftape@ymail.com Thank you! Enjoy!!!)

A poem for a lost love.

Never will I understand the motion of us all
The way we walk, breathe, and talk no matter short or tall

For each emotion that we hold our thoughts cannot match
How we feel about true love or when the bird eggs hatch

But when I stop for the world on one black sorrowful day
The sun is out and people sing the words they have to say

Children laugh and run the streets as they can’t see my pain
Has the one I have loved and lost lived and died in vain?

The mothers hum a song of life while cleaning clear windows
As I can’t speak, hear, or feel the softest wind that blows

I dress in black and walk a path like many have before me
My heart is strain to match my thoughts but not a soul can see

The sunniest morning I’ve seen in May welcomes me today
And could not rain the blackest skies no matter what I say

This was written in June of 2011 for Gloria Nardon Allegrucci by me, her granddaughter, Amber Maria Allegrucci.
It is for anyone and everyone healing from any sort of loss or departure of a loved one.

Just a few years later I decided to do a follow up for her to tell her that I was doing pretty okay. ♥

I thought of you today and smiled
At the image of such a small child
Running down the parlor floors
And roasting yummy melted s’mores

Then I grew and grew and grew
And before you noticed, Wow who knew!
I started to look just like you
A laugh that belonged to just us two

And although you’re not here with me today
And can’t hear the words that I have to say
You should know that I will never forget
Spending time with you while watching the sunset.

Please feel free to share.
With lots of love, Amber.
In loving memory GA. My gram gram :]
